Army Ranger, Combat Veteran Joins Primordial Team

Primordial, the leader in vision system software for soldiers, today announced the appointment of Andrew D. Davis as a subject matter expert for the company's products. Davis will provide support to the development of soldier vision systems.

"We are pleased that Andy joined our team," said Randy Milbert, Primordial's president. "His field experience and work with the Infantry Center will help us develop vision software that eases the burden of soldiers in the field. Our goal is to provide a product that substantially increases soldier survivability by enabling soldier to identify friendly and enemy personnel."

Prior to joining Primordial, Davis served as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and accomplished three tours of duty, including two tours for Operation Enduring Freedom and one tour for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He performed as a rifleman, assistant gunner, gunner, squad leader, mortar section leader, fire direction chief and Land Warrior subject matter expert. His assignments included 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and TRADOC Systems Manager-Soldier Headquarters United States Army Infantry Center.

Davis' military training includes Basic Training, Advanced Infantry Training, Advanced Mortar Weapons Training, Airborne School, Ranger Regimental Indoctrination Program, Pre-Ranger Course, Ranger School, Land Rover Off-Road Driving School, Primary Leadership Development Course, Advanced Scout Swimmer, and SERE-C. During his military career, Davis was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Expert Infantryman's Badge, Ranger Tab and Combat Parachutist's Badge, as well as five Army Commendation Medals, two Armed Service Expeditionary Medals and three Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medals.

"It is a great opportunity for me to utilize my military experience in a civilian environment," said Davis. "Primordial allows me to stay involved with the Army and help soldiers by assisting with the development of technology they will use in the field."

As subject matter expert, Davis duties include military operations specialist, Land Warrior expert, and Future Force Warrior expert.

Davis will attend the University of Minnesota in the fall with a dual major in psychology and political science. He resides in Oakdale, MN.
