Primordial Secures First Responder Contract

Primordial announced today that it secured a San Diego State University Research Foundation (SDSUF) Center of Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) contract to develop a first responder application based on the company’s flagship Ground Guidance® off-road route planning software.  The contract resulted from a national solicitation issued by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) Domestic Preparedness and Support Initiative (DPSI) with the goal of transitioning successful, Department of Defense (DOD)-funded technologies to first responder agencies that can use them to better secure the nation.

Primordial to develop a high-resolution map generation utility for Oshkosh’s TerraMax™ unmanned vehicle system

Primordial has secured a purchase order from Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) to develop a map generation utility for their TerraMax unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology, a system Oshkosh is developing for the Department of Defense.  Primordial’s president Randy Milbert said, “This is a great opportunity to apply our sophisticated techniques for generating on- and off-road routable maps in areas like Afghanistan and Iraq to a proven UGV platform.”

Primordial Secures 1.7 Million in Army Funding

Primordial announced today that it secured $1.7 million in United States (US) Army funding.  Primordial’s flagship product, Ground Guidance®, has been getting the attention of the US Army.  Primordial received two separate contracts from Movement Tracking System (MTS) and Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) as well as additional funding from the Army’s Commercialization Pilot Program (CPP).  Steve Hersman, Primordial’s vice president of marketing for defense stated, “These wins will enable us to transition Ground Guidance’s on- and off-road route planning capability from the research and development domain to large-scale operational fielding.”

Primordial was recently announced as the winner of Nokia Corporation's worldwide 'Calling All Innovators' Competition. The award was for the prestigious 'Apps on Maps' category, and was selected from over 1500 entrants. Primordial's winning application, 'Ground Guidance for Ovi Maps', was designed to bring Primordial's innovative pedestrian routing solution to Ovi Maps. Ovi Maps is the built-in application on Nokia phones that provides car and pedestrian navigation.

Primordial successfully integrated its Ground Guidance route planning application into the Land Warrior system using the EDGE Warrior Software Development Kit (SDK). The Warrior SDK was developed by General Dynamics C4 Systems to enable third parties to quickly and independently integrate their software services and applications into the overall dismounted warfighter system. This reduces the cost of integration and allows capabilities to be brought to the Soldier more rapidly.
