GPS Tuner

Primordial's partner, GPS Tuner, launched an iPhone app that enables customers in the continental United States (CONUS) to plan off-road routes between any two points.

Land Warrior

Primordial received funding from the United States Army to integrate its Ground Guidance off-road route planning software with the Land Warrior Advanced Mission Data Support Equipment (AMDSE) and Land Warrior Laptop (LWL).  Land Warrior is a soldier system comprised of a wearable computer and head-mounted display currently fielded in Afghanistan.  General Dynamics is the prime for the Land Warrior contract.  Later this year, Primordial will field Ground Guidance with the Land Warrior to the US Special Forces in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).

Google Earth

Ground Guidance supports exporting fast and concealed routes in a variety of formats including Garmin MapSource (*.mps), Google Earth Keyhole Markup Language (*.kml), GPS Exchange (*.gpx), Magellan eXplorist (*.upt), and Magellan Meridian (*.rte).  In this screenshot, a soldier used Ground Guidance to plan a fast route at Fort Eustis, Virginia and then imported the route into Google Earth.

Washout Avoidance

Ground Guidance routes around treacherous washout areas near Camp Billy Machen, Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Desert Training Facility, Niland, California.  Washout areas are especially dangerous for a soldier performing a night operation on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

Urban Concealment

Ground Guidance plans a concealed off-road route in Sadr City, Iraq.  Whereas a fast route uses major roads, a concealed route weaves in and out of buildings, minimizing a soldier's exposure to potential threats.

Unit Prediction

Ground Guidance indicates how far a lost individual on foot could travel in thirty minutes from a starting point in Hillsdale, Minnesota.  The shape of the area depends on the selected transportation mode (e.g. on-foot, all-terrain vehicle, Jeep, or marine).  Unit Prediction is designed for search and rescue (SAR) personnel who can use this information to select locations for checkpoints and lookouts.

Topographic Map

Ground Guidance generates an off-road route at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and overlays it on a topographic map.  Ground Guidance can overlay a route on any type of map.

Sniper Killed

Ground Guidance directs a convoy to a sniper's location at the McKenna military operations in urban terrain (MOUT) site in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Shot Detected

Ground Guidance redirects a convoy to a sniper's location upon receiving a coordinate from BBN Technologies's Boomerang shot detection system.
